Where else
is attention being given?

Hotspots indicate my conscious awareness of touch sensations, sensory input/output and feelings.

Each finger/thumb has separate awareness of contact/pressure/tissue response.

Awareness of current passing between hands, and of holding a defined space for the knee to experience itself.

Listening for tummy rumblings in receiver, verbal comments, class questions, noises beyond immediate environment.

Monitoring simultaneously: My hand position as part of keeping the contact uniform over time, monitoring involuntary body movements in receiver, eye signals, other class member movement.

Noticing any changes of odour that sometimes occur, (including the soup on the stove for lunch which may need adjusting!); changes of smell as per acupuncture elemental signals corresponding to emotional changes.

Witness state/observing without interpreting all the different sensory input through a broad passive attention.

Whilst holding my hand position in awareness and monitoring other body signals and class behaviour/questions, speaking to draw attention to what I am doing, what I am feeling and so forth.

How many places can we monitor simultaneously?

My foot on the floor, my ischium on the couch, my comfortable verticality of posture?

Workshops & Events

Ambassadors of Touch offers programs and workshops to introduce mindfulness and wellbeing into personal and professional lives: These experiential seminars teach sensory based skills to anyone wanting to further their understanding of energy/energy fields, or in the way they interact with events and people.

Open to all, especially health professionals and anyone who enjoys common sense learning, combined with playfulness and curiosity. The workshops and presentations are all grounded in clear, conscious, touch and we use this in a structured way to understand the dynamics of events, relationships and in the performance of tasks. The skills of 'Relaxed Attention' (similar to insight and mindfulness meditation) and 'Witness State' , give us the chance to detach from chronic stress and anxiety: Furthermore in developing greater poise and flexibility, we have more choice in the way we approach and navigate the challenges, uncertainties, and changes that are part of our immediate and long term life patterns."
